PLANNING COMMISSION

The Village’s Planning Commission meets on the third Thursday of each month at 6pm at the Union City Firehall (123 Hammond St). It is comprised of up to 9 members made up from the community, Village Council and Village Manager. The Planning Commission is tasked with forming the Village’s Master Plan which sets the vision for the Village moving forward. The Planning Commission also approves and looks at certain site plans and variance requests. The Current Planning Commission is:

MEDICAL MARIHUANA 

The Village of Union City adopted a zoning ordinance and Village ordinance to allow licenses for medical marihuana. The Village allows up to 15 Class C Growing licenses, 5 processor licenses, 2 secure transporter licenses, and 5 safety compliance centers. The Village does not allow for provisioning center licenses. The Village allows licensed facilities in the Industrial zoned areas, and other restrictions and regulations do apply. Below are the zoning ordinance and ordinance which specify all the rules are regulations. At this time the Village does not allow recreational production by ordinance.
